Heavens to Betsy! Gourmet Sandwiches & Desserts in Lawrenceburg

Blessed to have discovered a local treasure. Best sandwiches I've had anywhere in America. The owner is friendly, the pies and cakes moist and tasty, and the atmosphere welcoming. It's worth the trip if you're driving a little extra to get there. And oh! Try the jumbalaya soup. Haven't had any better.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. We finished the bourbon tour at nearby Four Roses Distillery and were seeking a place that had some good lunch. Everyone recommended this place. The sandwiches here are stacked high and are delicious. I had the Rueben and tried the BLT as well. The people that work here genuinely want you to be 100% satisfied and are extremely friendly. The atmosphere is very cool too. My only regret is not buying one of their delicious looking desserts.

Husband and I visited and ordered the BLT on sourdough bread. The sandwich was awesome! I got the broccoli slaw and it was the best I've ever eaten. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The environment was comfortable and inviting. We will be back 😊

Very quaint, and small town friendly place. Staff was very kind and let us sample a salad choice. Sandwiches were huge portion sized, very fresh and hot. Even had tables made into checkerboards for a fun and enjoyable time. Prices were high, and combo pricing want available. Definitely fresh, homemade and tasty.. Will return

First time here! I was a little hesitant because of some past reviews, but overall they have a good rating so we thought we'd try it. Glad we did! Sandwiches were huge so my husband and I split one & got 2 sides. The Rueben was delicious as was the dill potato salad. I would recommend this place.

Really good, really original and creative sandwiches and sides. There pretzel panini was amazing. Cornbread salad was something I'd never heard of, but really tasty: peppers and onions mixed with crumbled cornbread.

Great place for lunch!! We stopped here during our Bourbon Trail trip and it did not disappoint. The soups and sandwiches were delicious. The spicy Italian hot sandwich was AMAZING but definitely packed the heat. The reuben sandwich was one of the best we ever had and I also enjoyed the grilled pretzel sandwich. You will be glad you stopped here! Enjoy!

OMG! The sandwiches in this joint taste like they are handcrafted by the angels with the plastic baskets they are served in being handwoven by their chubby lil cherub sidekicks. Please, oh please, if you have any love for yourself, get here today to eat!

Great place to eat! I had a party melt sandwich which was out of this world amazing! The only con about the place is the prices are higher than a cats back.

The sandwiches were awesome! We were looking for a nice sit down place to eat an early dinner before driving for 2 more hours, and it definitely hit the spot. Would definitely seek them out again when we're passing through!

This place is awesome! The best Reuben sandwich I EVER had was at Heavens to Betsy! My mom loves their chicken salad sandwiches, but even if you're just in the mood for a grilled cheese & tomato soup, you can't go wrong there either. Their Tomato basil soup is the bomb!

Awesome rubin sammy, club sammy, etc. Great soups too. The owner, Jackson & hos wife are super people.This place is a real jewel & convenient to bourbon distilleries. Try it you will love it too.

Perhaps one of the coolest delis I've been to while traveling. Grateful they had drink options. Not to mention that their sandwiches are amazing!

Good food, friendly people

I visited this little hole in the wall for the first time this week and had the Beef and Cheddar and it did not disappoint!! The sweet tea is pretty good too, and the environment is great!

How can you not love this place? I've eaten so many Spicy Hot Italian sandwiches over the past couple of years, that I believe I'm turning into one. I did recently try the Roast Beef, just to mix it up a bit, and I may have a new love. :) A great local business, and super friendly folks that work there. My only complaint, is that it's not located right next door to my house. I actually have to drive a couple of miles to get to it. :P

First time here visiting from out of town. Was recommended to us from a cashier at the gift shop at Wild Turkey. Staff was super friendly. They have a few choices of beer for a drink as well as fountain drinks, tea and coffee. They had many choices of desserts, unfortunately I wasn't able to try. The pretzel panini was really good!!

An absolute must stop on the bourbon trail! Heavens to Betsy makes some of the best sandwiches you’re ever going to eat. I had the ham and beer cheese panini and my friend had the roast beef and cheddar. Neither one of us could speak as we devoured them. I wish there was a way to give this place more than five stars. Wallace Station gets all the attention in these parts but Betsy sure gives Ouita a run for her money. We will be back!

I ordered the Reuben, mind you, I'm picky about my Reubens. This Reuben was Awesome!!! The Bread is Fresh. The Corn Beef is real, not processed slices. These were chunks of grilled Corn Beef. The sauerkraut was nice, and the potato salad nicely complemented the Reuben, (Thank You for the side suggestion). My first time going, goin a 2nd, prob a 3rd, for sure a 4th. If this sandwich is what is yet to come, then Enjoy!

I love everything about Betsy’s! My sister and I make a point of going to her restaurant because we both feel strongly about supporting small/local businesses. The Club sandwich is enormous and we always have to take half home for supper. The broccoli salad and potato salad are incredible, and I suggest you get a side to take home. Unlike the chain restaurants, the owners take the time to come and chat at your table!

Great tomato basil soup and Reuben! The burger was okay. Very cute spot, feels like you’re eating in a Kentucky living room. There are two checkers boards to challenge friends!

Heavens to Betsy has the most delicious sandwiches. The restaurant is unique and the sides and desserts are so yummy.

Absolutely fantastic hole in the wall restaurant near Woodford and Wild Turkey Distilleries. Unique sandwiches, and absolutely worth it. Not only worth it, extremely generous serving sizes. The club probably had 2 pounds of meat on it

WOW! Interesting place to find off the beaten path. Eclectic Hipster atmosphere with awesome selection of deli style sandwiches both hot and cold. Spicy Italian is as promised with a bit of a kick. The Mexican Steak Pita was delicious and a great value. Definitely a repeat visit.

H2B is a jewel in Lawrenceburg! Betsy and Jackson are great hosts and have created a cafe with delicious sandwiches and sides and an atmosphere that is causal and eclectic at the same time. Open the doors for a whole new take on delicious! They also showcase great local artists' work that you can purchase.

Great food and a lovely restaurant. I was in the area and stopped by for lunch. The Spicy Italian sandwich is definitely worth it. The service was quick, the staff friendly, and the interior was clean and comfortable.

Love it so much I want to go there as much as I can. The spicy Italian is incredible. The atmosphere is very unique, with the front well-lit with natural lighting and the back darker with warm lighting.

We had lunch here as part of a private boubon trail tour. The food, service and dining area were all excellent. Lunch was fresh and exactly as ordered. Portions were generous! Our group enjoyed the lunch I would definitely go back!

Excellent sandwiches, sides and desserts. Stroll in and grab a Hot Italian with a side of Potato Salad. At first glance the menu items seem to be a bit pricey, but once you receive your order you will come to realize that one sandwich is usually enough for two meals. If you want to have lunch or dinner in a small town with a friendly environment. This is a have to stop place. They are not stingy with portions, always plenty to fill you up. Never have had anything bad. Love it all. It is in an old hotel and beautiful to see. They have done great with the decor.

One of my all time favorites in town!!! Great people, cozy, cute place to eat. And the food is WONDERFUL 😍. I usually get a chicken salad sandwich or the super 2 kinds of cheese, grilled sandwich with the very tasty tomato soup. My husband loves the French dip, ham, or the beef sandwiches. Prices are great for the amount of food you get!!!

Referred here several years ago from Wild Turkey employee and come back every time we take houseguests on a bourbon tour or are in the area. Portions are extremely generous - easily shared or choose the 1/2 option. BLT is best I’ve ever had. I am a Cajun and the Jambalaya tastes like it came out of my mother’s kitchen. Employees friendly, service quick. Have referred many friends. Cute little town - take time to walk around and explore the other shops nearby.

One of the few things worth driving 40 minutes for. Cute atmosphere, delicious food. I had the Reuben. Only gripe is that sometimes the service is a bit slow.
